Some cards contain a red “V” with a date in the upper right corner. This represents the date of arrival at the Herzogenbusch concentration camp, in Dutch Kamp Vught. Many Jews were transferred to Westerbork shortly after their arrival in Vught. This date was also noted on the index card together with “Wbk.”

A red “B” at the top right indicates the Barneveld camp, where “Protektionsjuden” (protected Jews) were temporarily housed.
