On most cards, there is no further information after Überführt (“transferred”). If something is noted here, it is usually a KL N or N, which stands for Neuengamme concentration camp. Many forced laborers from the Netherlands were sent to Neuengamme on collective transports. German employment offices could then “call up” the respective workers from there. However, around 1,900 prisoners from three transports from Amersfoort remained as concentration camp prisoners in Neuengamme and its sub-camps.
