In 1948, the responsible IRO authorities revised the CM/1 application. From this point on, the word “revised” was added to the forms. The sequence of the questions hardly changed, but some questions were formulated more precisely. The question about nationality under point six is a particularly good example of this. The abbreviation “CM” found on all of the documents stands for the Care and Maintenance program of the IRO, which arranged support for the DPs.
