In the majority of cases, the confession of faith ("wyznanie" in Polish) of the DPs is stated on the index cards. The most common confession - as in this example - was Roman Catholic ("rzym. kat."), namely for a total of 1,354 DPs. In addition, 958 people were registered as Jewish ("mojz."), 26 as Greek Catholic ("gr. kat."), six as Orthodox ("prawoslawna"), four as Protestant ("ewang.") and three as Jehovah's Witnesses ("badacz pisma"). 587 cards contained no information on religion.
