The military rank that the person concerned had held in the Polish army before or during the war was usually noted on the index cards under the term "wojsk" (Polish for "troop"). For example, rifleman (Polish "strzelec"), sergeant ("kapr." for "kapral") or - as in this example - reserve platoon sergeant ("plut. rez." for "plutonowy rezerwy"). The indication "nie słuzył" means "not served".
