In 1948, the card file was handed over to the Information Office of the Netherlands Red Cross (NLRC) in The Hague. That is where separate dossiers were created for many Nazi victims, the numbers of which were noted on the index cards with ballpoint pens (here: Doss. 190,648). The reference to Walter Süsskind’s dossier was noted after the card file was microfilmed and the films were handed over to the predecessor organization of the Arolsen Archives, the International Tracing Service (ITS), in 1980.
