Leon Bart from Liévin in northern France died on November 26, 1942, at the age of 39 in the Niederhagen-Wewelsburg concentration camp. His personal effects card notes that his property was sent to Brussels one month later to be returned to his wife. From there, the property return was handled by the representative of the Commanding Officer (referred to as the Chef or “chief” on the card) of the Security Police and Security Service for Belgium and Northern France.
