Friedrich Fodor’s DP 2 card shows that DPs could change their mind in a short period of time. When he was registered on September 19, 1945, he said that he wanted to return to his home in the village of Golubinci in what is now Serbia. But just a month later, on October 16, 1945, the note “Wish to return home” had been changed to “Not Wish to return home.” America was now listed as his desired destination.
