At first glance, the Prisoner Registration Card for Magda Gado, a Jewish woman from Hungary, seems to indicate that she was transferred to Buchenwald on February 17, 1945. However, her number card shows that she was actually taken on February 17 to the Penig sub-camp, which was administered by Buchenwald. She was therefore officially a prisoner of Buchenwald, although she was never directly imprisoned in the main camp. In this case, the prisoner registration card is misleading.
