This is a variation of the member and benefit card (Mitglieder- und Leistungskarte). Different preprinted cards were used by the various public health insurance funds. However, the cards differ only at first glance, because the color of the paper, or the arrangement of the fields may be different. However, the information requested is almost identical. The function was always the same too: The cards were used to record which benefits, i.e. what treatments, the insured person had received. The reference code F-7-2629 noted in the top right corner of this card refers to the Inventory Card File (Inventurkartei) of the International Tracing Service (ITS), the predecessor institution of the Arolsen Archives. It indicates when and from where documents relating to Nazi forced labor were handed over to the ITS.

L’e-Guide différencie entre fiches principales et variantes, parce qu’il peut exister plusieurs versions, très différentes, d’un même type de document.
Les fiches principales de l’e-Guide sont les documents standard qui ont été fréquemment utilisés dans les camps de concentration, les camps de personnes déplacées ou lors de l’enregistrement des travailleurs forcés et sur lesquels on dispose de nombreuses informations. En outre, les Arolsen Archives possèdent également des variantes, qui ont exactement la même finalité que la fiche principale à laquelle elles se rapportent, mais s’en distinguent visuellement. Plusieurs raisons à cela : les camps employaient parfois leurs propres fiches à la place des modèles standard ; souvent, aussi, chaque camp s’est d’abord servi de ses propres fiches et formulaires, qui ont été par la suite remplacés par des imprimés normalisés.
